§ 132.05. RESISTING OR REFUSING TO AID OFFICER.

  • (A)

    No person shall knowingly and willfully resist, obstruct or oppose any officer as defined in F.S. Sections 943.10(1) through (3) and (6) through (9), member of the Florida Parole and Probation Commission or any administrative aide or supervisor employed by the Commission, parole and probation supervisor, County probation officer, personnel or representative of the Department of Law Enforcement, or other person legally authorized to execute process in the execution of legal process or in the lawful execution of any legal duty, by offering or doing violence to the person of such officer or legally authorized person.

    (B)

    No person shall resist, obstruct or oppose any officer as defined in F.S. Sections 943.10(1) through (3) and (6) through (9), member of the Florida Parole and Probation Commission or any administrative aide or supervisor employed by the Commission, county probation officer, parole and probation supervisor, personnel or representative of the Department of Law Enforcement, or other person legally authorized to execute process in the execution of legal process or in the lawful execution of any legal duty, without offering or doing violence to the person of the officer.

    (C)

    No person, being required in the name of the State by any officer of the Florida Highway Patrol, police officer, beverage enforcement agent or watchman, shall neglect or refuse to assist him in the execution of his office in a criminal case, or in the preservation of the peace, or the apprehending or securing of any person for a breach of the peace, or in case of the rescue or escape of a person arrested upon civil process.
