§ 32.62. COMPOSITION; APPOINTMENT; TERMS.

  • The Police Advisory Board shall be composed of thirteen (13) regular members. The first Board appointments consisting of thirteen (13) regular members shall be recommended by the R.A.C.E. Relations Committee and approved by the City Commission. Thereafter, the City Commission shall fill vacancies in accordance with City Policies and Procedures. The thirteen (13) regular members shall be appointed by the City Commission for terms of two (2) years, except that the members of the first Board to serve shall be appointed so that seven (7) members shall serve for three-year terms and six (6) members shall serve two-year terms. Their successors shall be appointed for two-year terms. It is further provided that no member may serve more than two (2) successive terms on this Board.
