§ 51.75. PERSON BILLED FOR WATER SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR CHARGES.

The person or company in whose name water services are billed by the City shall be considered and declared to be for the purpose of the enforcement of this Chapter responsible for the payment of those fees, rates and charges, except that where no water service is rendered and collection service is requested or deemed necessary these fees shall be the responsibility of the owner or tenant of that property. All charges will continue whether or not the water meter is actually turned on or off and without regard to usage or occupancy, except when a customer requests temporary shut off of water services.
