§ 102.28. DUTY TO ASSURE COMPLIANCE; INSPECTION; STOP WORK.

  • The developer or petitioner for a new street shall provide, at his own expense, a registered engineer or surveyor and sufficient inspectors to insure that the improvements being installed are in accordance with the approved plans, prior to acceptance by the City. The registered engineer shall certify to the City Engineer, in writing, that all improvements have been installed in accordance with the approved specifications. The City Engineer shall, however, at all times have the right to enter on the premises for inspection of the work and to stop work on the improvements if he shall find that the improvements are not being made in accordance with the approved plans and specifications of this subchapter.
